BBQ Recipe: Pepper Chicken Wings and Vegetable Couscous

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 2 kg of chicken wings
  • Salt

For the pickle:

  • 1 organic lime
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 6 tablespoons Kikkoman naturally brewed soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Ground pepper
  • sweet red pepper
  • Chili powder

For the vegetable couscous and chili yogurt:

  • 200 g of couscous
  • 2 small sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 eggplant
  • 1 zucchini
  • 300 g of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Ground pepper
  • 250 g plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup
  • Chili powder
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons Kikkoman naturally fermented soy sauce

Preparation

  1. Boil the chicken wings in a pan of salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain and let cool.
  2. Make the marinade: mix together lime juice and zest, soy sauce, sesame seeds and olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, paprika and chili powder.
  3. Coat the chicken wings with the marinade and refrigerate them for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Boil the couscous according to package instructions.
  5. Wash and prepare the vegetables: Cut off the ends of the eggplant and zucchini, and cut the meat into cubes. Peel the onion and cut it into strips.
  6. Mix the teriyaki sauce, oil and black pepper. Add the eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, onion and rosemary and mix well.
  7. Take the plunge:mix the yogurt and ketchup and season to taste with chili powder and soy sauce.
  8. Grill the chicken wings for 10-20 minutes and the vegetables for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Arrange the couscous and vegetables on a plate, with the spicy yogurt and chicken wings.
